#22964 Save pip log in sandbox on plugin resolution Issue created by gdfast Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. This feature request is to help debug issues when using published plugins. I was recently hitting an issue adding and using a published plugin in pants.toml. We returned the pip error logs, but the log was not preserved in the sandbox. The pip log, when saved, made it really obvious what the issue was (wrong name used for the plugin). (pip errors)

pip: ERROR: Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement pants-opentelemetry-plugin (from versions: none)
pip: ERROR: No matching distribution found for pants-opentelemetry-plugin

Describe the solution you'd like Add

--preserve-pip-download-log

to the pex CLI call that packages the plugin. The PexRequest in question is made in src/python/pants/init/plugin_resolver.py I'm looking to essentially duplicate the work of #21980, which had a similar issue as this one: #21979 pantsbuild/pants
