Is there a roadmap somewhere for the state of JS/TS affairs? I'm setting up a brand new work repo with a python backend and a frontend using TS/Angular. Since its greenfield, I'd love to be able to use pants for "everything" from the beginning. Would like to read up on how much is available for my FE needs.

I don't know if this is up to date, but there was a stabilization ticket to take it out of experimental: https://github.com/pantsbuild/pants/issues/19240

See also https://github.com/pantsbuild/pants/issues/22147. Testing is already completed i think - i think the remaining issue is a dupe. Probably the main remaining useful feature is eslint.

Thanks! Does anyone know if there are any example repos floating around out there? (with typescript, ideally)

Does any of the javascript support (linting with prettier, in particular, but also the dependency inference) work on html/json/css files? or is it strictly JS/TS and all the other auxiliary stuff has to just be
file
targets with manual dependency mapping?

I don't know the answer to that one - suspect not.

Its been discussed to have some tools that are "targetless", but I don't think it really happened. It would be the case for these "omni-tools"
