I'm trying to use the package

granian

with the

--reload

option. For one of my services this works fine, while the other crashes with an error saying that the

reload

extra is required to use granian with --reload. How does Pants determine which extras to include in the resulting PEX? Both services have

"3rdparty/python#granian"

explicitly listed in their dependencies, but neither reference the

reload

extra in any way explicitly outside of the command used to start their respective containers.
