Pants version 2.26 OS MacOS Additional info The sandbox runs on a volume that is shared between docker container(amd64/Linux) and host(arm/MacOS). Because MacOS is by default case-insensitive unpacking of the tar file leads to errors. As a workaround it is possible to define a case-sensitive volume in mac and to define the volume within the parameter

local_execution_root_dir

. However, this will only solve partly the problem because there is an issue with symlinks in shared volumes in docker/podman (see containers/podman#26211). I think the only way to fix it is to alllow `local_execution_root_dir`to be a folder that is not a volume mount to the docker container or to add a parameter to turn off the volume mount of the sandbox. pantsbuild/pants
