Just clarifying the notes from the changelog slightly.. it says "Add support for running Pants with newer versions of Python." which doesn't mean you can pick and choose, each version of Pants is still bound to a particular version of Python. What it does it opens up for us to go forward with upgrading the version of Python to use for newer versions of Pants.
