Not sure if I'm just stupid or it really is confusing, but it took me almost a minute to figure out how to get the toc for the docs on mobile. :-(
You have to tap here
Maybe an arrow down, like in a desktop drop down widget would help

I, too, dislike our docs on mobile. We, as maintainers, also don't love our docs provider: readme. We really don't control much outside of the content itself, and even that is limiting and frustrating. The good news is I've been chipping away at migrating us to something with more flexibility (and free!)

On a proper browser, the only thing I don't like is the search, but I don't think I've ever met a search that Iiked so...

Supposedly MkDocs has better search than readme. We'll have to see.

I don't like that the hamburger menu takes you to the current section and not the top level toc
It took me less than the current version, but still wasn't immediately obvious where the rest of the docs are
And the alphabetic toc is worse than the current one
(that's not in the checklist on your post, but I think it's important)

My only complaint is that the intro page needs you to go back once get to the toc, but not sure if that has a solution

Yeah that's because the index redirects to that page. Not sure if we'll keep it that way 🤷‍♂️ This is all experimental
