Is the Terraform backend in serious use by anyone, or is it kinda "Beware of the leopard" territory?

I think it's mostly the latter - it's still in the "experimental" stage (<https://blog.pantsbuild.org/quick-feedback-on-new-features-via-experimental-backends/>)

Okies, I'll take a peek at it for formatting. I have a vested interest, I just have limited time. I still owe a couple of PRs to clean up some errors and I really want to take a look at excluding transitive dependencies from lambda functions.

so I'm promising nothing, but signalling my interest :smile:

Currently we only use it for formatting. But I'm doing work on the Terraform backend and I've got an MR open to wire in `deploy` and dependency fetching.
