As a data point on the OOMs in Travis, I have heard (N/2)+1 as the rule of thumb for cores-to-workers, if that choice is being reconsidered.

Go has such a compile-time AND runtime performance win over Scala, that it’s not even close.

I suppose I could have the _default_ behavior be very conservative and less performant: make `-cache` be repo-local.  And then users can make a custom ivysettings.xml to split the repository and resolution caches

Yeah, I don't know if there's a way to set these parameters via the cmdline, without having a custom ivysettings.xml

I would choose C over Scala in a heartbeat...
