    At Square we’re moving to a rewritten version of 
    IdeaGen
    we have as a pants plugin; the intellij plugin therefore isn’t very important to us right now. So I think the Twitter people need to weigh in on that.

    Looks like Benjy's https://travis-ci.org/pantsbuild/pants/builds/89715166 will go red, but on an unrelated flake in the engine/exp Have not seen those tests flake to date, but as it happens I have an engine/exp engine re-structure change right behind his on master, so that may squash the flake

    dep-usage was implemented by our intern, Cody. I think it was originally conceived by Misha to try to reduce CI runtimes and then the idea refined by Stu and others.

    @freezing-motorcycle-14222: I'm getting stack setup on our bintray - looks like using it and things like 
    ./stack setup 7.10.2 --reinstall
    are enough for a bootstrap?

    @enough-analyst-54434: I think the 
    stack
    setup is not technically necessary when bootstrapping, but probably a good idea anyway. To provide some context, the 
    --install-ghc
    flag that is passed to every 
    stack
    invocation is equivalent to running 
    ./stack setup
    before that command.
