do you have unit tests for it that run via pants?

the lack of isolation for python 3rdparty deps makes this a problem, because our own internal deps are not very compatible with pants.

it's a thing we're interested in investing in soon (3rdparty), but.

What do you mean by lack of isolation exactly?  What issues do you hit?

Pants has pinned versions that can make life difficult, but that's the only problem I'm aware of save inventing shading for python

just the ancient science-binaries crap you know about :smiley:

but the rest get... whatever is uploaded.

Why not a custom repo path for the plugin?

For a memory jog - we have the cheeseshop and it was activated in a requeriements.txt via -f

That was an indirect way of building PythonRequirments with a custom repository

I still want to get that working for apache thrift on python3 for Grant Wu and co
