    I can do that easily but it makes sources/javadocs all-or-nothing still: if anything doesn’t have javadocs, no one gets javadocs.

    It wouldn’t really make javadocs all or nothing. It would resolve what it could and then error out.

    When it errors out it doesn’t generate the classpath file even though it does resolve the jars

    I would like a more elegant solution… but idea is broken for that user at the moment and they are ardent pants users. Fortunately, things are working for them in Pants Plugin for IntelliJ.

    There is a flag on goal idea they could use to do that too
    Copy code
    --[no-]idea-source-jars (default: True)
    Pull source jars from external dependencies into the project.
--[no-]idea-javadoc-jars (default: True)
    Pull javadoc jars from external dependencies into the project
    but that stinks.
