    the pants wheels contain some pre-built deps... they're built to be maximally compatible with (older) glibc, but they aren't built for musl

    I think the error you’re referring to might be the one I had when I was using the pantsbuild/centos6 image.

    Hello! I’m thinking of introducing versioning to the pants metrics json output. This will make it easier for consumers to keep up to date with changes when upgrading pants versions. I’m not sure this is the solution to the problem, bit I feel like it’s the best, to add a lint check that checks if one has changed the json format but not the version number. Is that fair? Or an integration test, maybe

    can anyone else weigh in on this change to improve pants's handling of spotty internet connections? this was a request from a twitter eng who mostly works from the train and kept running into a perfect storm of pathological behavior -- this adds retry, backoff, and disabling the remote cache after enough read failures. i'm sure this has to affect other people too: https://github.com/pantsbuild/pants/pull/8568

    Is there a way to printout the target name for each run when I do 
    ./pants binary src/python::
    (where I have multiple targets)? When one of them fails, not straightforward to know which one exactly

    Does pants have a built-in or recommended way to validate that all tests actually run when 
    ./pants test [...]
    is invoked? Both 1. file name pattern matching to validate that all files are included in (e.g.) a 
    junit_tests
    target and 2. checking that all (e.g.) 
    junit_tests
    targets are reachable from some target would be useful
