    and hmm if I run the node plugin with source (copied over from 
    contrib/
    ), the path the npm modules are stored in 
    Library/Caches/Yarn
    is slightly different (now under an additional 
    v1
    ), but the permission for 
    imagemin-webpack-plugin
    is now fine....

    how about Groovy in Pants? We want to write tests in Groovy and we can't see way to compile Groovy in Pants. Should we write our own plugin for that?

    How do I run the testproject junit “mixed”? I’m running 
    ./pants test testprojects/src/java/org/pantsbuild/testproject/junit::
    and it’s just giving me errors for 
    earlyexit

    are expected to pass (some of them intentionally fail, such as that one)

    if anyone likes perl 6 i just wrote a pants backend for it that supports 
    run
    and 
    repl
    , allows depending on other `perl6_library`s and importing their modules, and using 
    zef
    to download thirdparty deps: https://github.com/cosmicexplorer/lex-query/tree/master/pants-plugins/upstreamable. gonna spend some time actually using it for a bit now

    it would require not much more work to support perl 5 similarly, i just didn't make the targets and tasks for that. you'd also need to interface with cpan (although 
    zef
    might be able to do perl 5 modules too, haven't checked)

    it also doesn't require you to have anything but perl 5 installed while allowing natural version selection because `NativeTool`/`Script` save lives

    hello guys again 🙂! Still getting better with my adventure with Pants! I have another question about caching: I see in docs: "The remote server should be a RESTful server that can handle GET, HEAD, PUT, and DELETE requests on large binary blobs." does it mean that I need some backend for that cache which will store and serve those blob files?

    Then yes, it does mean that. You basically have to figure out how to have a server running that can expose those rest operations to your local/CI copy of pants

    @stocky-account-81383 you can get most of the benefit without a remote cache since it looks like gitlab ci supports a local cache: https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/ci/yaml/#cache If you use that feature to cache the Pants local cache (https://www.pantsbuild.org/setup_repo.html#build-cache) - after you've configured pants to use one - you should be good.
