    maybe the order affects how the target is fingerprinted, hence hitting/missing the cache

    rm -rf ~/.ivy2; ./pants resolve ...; find ~/.ivy2 > x.out

    @rich-guitar-38229: regardless of the ordering issue, the problem is that one of those dependencies wants an incompatible version of netty

    the weird thing is that we've already use the managed_jar_libraries to pin the netty version, I'll dig a bit further later

    I am trying to port https://github.com/scala-js/scalajs-tutorial to pants, however I see 2 issues: - pants doesn't handle js dependency from scala js target the way sbt does - pants doesn't properly compile code into js (I am missing jquery related code in generated js) Does anyone have actually tried anything more serious with Scala.js and pants?

    scala_js_library
    target should in theory able to depend on a 
    node_[remote_]module
    target, although i don't believe that that is tested.

    if you depend on a scala.js published 3rdparty jar (such as a library that wraps jquery), you can consume that via 
    jar_library
    .

    @witty-crayon-22786 thanks, I try both web jars put *.js under META-INF that cannot be referred, I tried with node_remote_module, not working so far, I will dig it a bit longer, see if I can make it work, is there a logic in node modules to aggregate js libraries ?

    but i do know that you can define: 
    scala_jar(org='org.scala-js', name='scalajs-dom_sjs0.6', rev='0.9.1')
    and then depend on it from a 
    scala_js_library
    target.

    in sbt, there is a way to list all your js deps and they will be aggregated into *jsdeps.js similar to yeoman approach to keep 2 js scripts in deployment (1 for app code, 1 for all js reps)

    here is a thought, have you considered using https://github.com/scalacenter/scalajs-bundler for scalajs it supports generation of web pack and producing single bundled js file looks like a good use case for scala_js_binary target what do you think ?
