ok, by now i do have a question. npm modules are namespaced by now pretty often (@types/libname, @angular/something) - does anybody have experience on how to handle this since 3rdparty module names seem to be resolved by the folder name.

i want to be able to run ./sync-s3 for pantsbuild/binaries

i'm still looking for a solution for the namespaced npm modules. does anybody have an idea?

probably it wouldn't be such a problem if i knew what's going on under the hood but i'm still fresh to pants

<@U06A03HV1> regarding making it an option for console tasks to show pants progress,  instead of being `--no-quiet` implicitly on whether `--output-file` is specified, can we have a `--force-no-quiet` option instead? that way we don’t have this implicit logic which may be confusing when there is a mixture of goals specified

also more color for folks: right now if pants fails anywhere during `./pants export`, usually the error msg isn’t helpful because it does not show at which stage the error happened

`--force-no-quiet` is more confusing, imo.

but the "implicit logic" bit is why i suggested that explicitly passing `--no-quiet` should disable silence in the consoletask case

...but having some other "opt-in" flag (i guess i was objecting to the name), and then deprecating it later is also an option

but, basically, if it were possible to make the explicit '--no-quiet' option work for consoletask cleanly, that would be the best. ... maybe
