Is there an option one can pass to pants when building a python target that refuses to download a dependency that isn't pinned?

allow-picked-versions=False

, which is super super nice to have

@quaint-teacher-6666 we were having trouble with cryptography today as well, but pinned to 2.0.3 and resolved the problem

had to specify a dependency on cryptography in our BUILD file, too

Thank you very much guys, I was debugging the dependency graph and looks like the bad 'cryptography' version comes from:

update: so I've tried different versions of `cryptography`: 2.0.3 and 1.9 and still had the same issue:

hey guys. being new to pants - are there any ressources apart from the docs that help with getting started? It feels like i'm learning more by looking at the fsqio repo or the pants repository itself than the docs.

example repositories are probably the best, yea.

but it's a bit contradicting as well since the repositories include contrib modules for example and define them as backends while the docs talk about them as plugins (with pypi use)
