then hopefully your original test invocation works now - then presumably all you need is to dupe the target 2x with different constraints to get both python2 + 3 in a single pants run

so if I set an interpreter_constraint for "CPython&gt;=3.6" that finds my python3 binaries, and my tests pass

I'm going to try allowing anything &gt;=2.7 and see what I get

interpreter_constraints: ["CPython&gt;=2.7"]``` I can confirm it sees both 2.7 + 3.x interpreters

it seems like it might be helpful to you all to have some of this written up in the pants docs.

then you’d use target level constraints to control which of the visible interpreters are used to execute that targets test

there are not plans to backport it currently, no. but if anything, it would likely be backported to `1.3.x`
