i’m getting an error

Exception message: Failed to load the aiq.register backend: No module named register

but only on our ubuntu boxes not locally - sth seems to be off with the pythonpath settings on servers, anybody seen this before?

aiq is our own pants plugin, it works locally on mac fine

hey all, does anyone know if pants/pex will get manylinux wheel support at all? it's the major time-consumer in our build process, and I just have to hack around it by renaming the manylinux wheels to linux_x86_64 ones in a custom wheel repo--not exactly a great experience

it was all my own fault - had an untracked scala file sitting on disk, plus possibly some untrustworthy data in my local ivy cache

how would I start to debug that? my guess is that it's about open ssl and or python not being setup just so on this new Mac

essentially the cache server needs to be able to ping’able from pants
