    @rough-dog-96241 we do shared localcache for CI. We are currently only using single executors for an unrelated reason but in the past we had multiple execs in this setup.

    @witty-crayon-22786 thank you, got it working by using the full name, I had been using “/” in the beginning as in 
    /com/foo/main/application.conf
    , still don’t see the application.conf in the jar file, only class files there, will read better up on that. Thank a bunch for the assistance 🙂

    @full-kilobyte-93429 , what got it working was using 
    com/foo/bar/main/application.conf
    my dir tree is src/[resouces/scala] on the same level and then the path com/foo/bar/service, thanks for the input 🙂

    yes, i put some debugging statements in do try to find the one that pants was building for this specific case, though i got it working but will look better into that. might be more of them and I’m looking at the incorrect.

    ok, looking into that, got nothing under dist/ all the jar files I’m looking at are under .pants.d our CI takes care of the bundling and deployment, but will test out bundling this locally to see, the .jar file with application.conf in it.

    the stuff under 
    .pants.d
    isn't for public consumption... `bundle`/`binary` put stuff under 
    dist
    , which is for public consumption

    yes, I’m seeing that someone has been messing around with our pants config, at least all our local builds are getting “- -export-classpath-manifest-jar-only” as a parameter when running pants, this has nothing to do with my previous problem is probably a leftover of some netty conflict resolution last week. digging into that, normally my dist folder has had a lot of files in it, but it’s empty now, we don’t often bundle or binary locally so I had not noticed.

    sounds good, i do have to copy much of the documentation because of this two levels of apis, probably can/should kill most of the dev facing doc
