    we do not use strict_deps, but we also uninstall much of the dependency tracking in favor of buildgen

    I guess it depends on your test setup - you might have some exotic runner or something - but in most cases it’ll be 
    ./pants test

    but, a warning: in a large enough repo, with enough stuff in 3rdparty, it's possible that 
    ./pants test ::
    will cease to work for jvm code, due to it resulting in one big ivy resolve

    hi, is there some way to add a post-compile hook to "pants compile"? i see a "compile.compile-jvm-prep-command" but i don't see a symmetric thing for afterwards

    i need to mimic the maven-assembly-plugin output that the samza application framework expects, and it appears that format is a tar of jars
