yes, I would use 1.2.0. We are currently testing a 1.2.1 release candidate though, and that should not be too far away

this is more of a pex questions. does anyone know if it's possible to get the original filename once the pex is started? i see __entry_point__ in main.py but i think it's unavailable by the time my code has started.

stuff (pom resolver, buildgen) working in a new repo? I’d be interested in examples; I’m having some problems setting it up for my new startup.

(specifically if I add:

plugins: +[”fsqio.pants.contrib.buildgen.core==1.1.0”]

any pants command starts running into

Exception message: Package SourcePackage(u'file:///Users/todd/.cache/pants/plugins/fsqio.pants.contrib.buildgen.python-1.1.0.tar.gz') is not translateable by ChainedTranslator(EggTranslator, SourceTranslator)

which I think is related to the indirect dependency of fsqio.pants.contrib.buildgen.core -> pantsbuild.pants -> setuptools==5.4.1 but I’m still working through the code)

but this is probably handled best in an Fsqio issue. That is essentially a third-party plugin.

buildgen is in use in 3-4 repos, so I feel pretty good we can get you up and running.
