i have scalastyle working, wanted to get pep8 going for our python stuff

<@U0DJ6JX08>: We have pretty decent pep8/pylint plugins internally that support caching (including caching errors)

We could move them into our OSS repo if you're interested

Or I could code-dump them into a gist if you're in a rush

it’d be great if those could converge - or supplant - the existing pythonstyle stuff.

ideally we’d have a single entrypoint to a very configurable linting process

Though the one issue is that these use 4sq custom virtualenv logic

And we in general completely avoid the pex/chroot pants tooling

I'll code dump for reference, but note that this won't work as a drop-in

Probably some good stuff to steal for caching and such though

does anyone have a build-info plugin (or one they can oss?) - e.g. sth that generates a scala file with git commit, build time, etc that can then be read by code

Though the more I look at it, it seems like `[resolve]` is just not being run

We uninstall ivy from resolve, I wonder if that's somehow interfering
