I have 0 clues what the github plugin is doing.  I have not been focused on that yet... but it looks like it needs alot of scrutiny

This must be the core problem - doing some sort of bad merge or rebase. Probably why kris and I didn't have files in our runs that we should have had

I don't see anything in the docs about a merge - but it is checking out to a non-existent revision so there must be some local state being created somewhere

we've just had a bug where someone working on OSX committed something that doesn't build on linux

Since I think it stores the case but ignores it when doing a file lookup

I got in a state last week where I commited a file as `FOO.png` when the server wanted `foo.png`. I couldn't do the rename on OSX and so I had to push it to a linux machine.
