Yeah - I'm not sure how npm is controlled (except by cute lowercase env vars) - presumably there is a HOME dir config file set by Square

FWIW - the last release I did I had issues with the node contrib that were the node_modules.tar.gz - I believe due to rate limiting. I went away, came back later, and it worked. I was lame and did not file an issue at the time.

Well, with the org happening we might just be able to provide an AWS deploy node/script. Throw in gpg-agent and this might give a uniform deploy environment

That would be nice. We ran into a problem this week where Garrett created a pex distro and it ended up different from the ones I've been making on my laptop. I had an older version of psutil on my box build on an old mac, he downloaded a freshly made wheel I uploaded earlier in the week and bam! it broke on the old macs.
