feel like i’m not getting emails forwarded anymore from <https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=en#!forum/pants-reviews> even though the setting says “notify me for every new message”. is anyone else having this issue?

I looked at the groups management page and it has your email listed as 'Bouncing'

for anyone following the `annotation_processor` travails last night - I've tried everything I can think of and there's just no way to either make zinc compile anything or make the annotation processor run, so I'm just going to rip it out and rewrite the code

Has anybody else seen ```

and if so, how do I fix it (this is during a compile)

<@U07QGT3V3>: <@U06A03HV1> <@U053HNE90> this case rings a bell.   Getting annotation processors to run when resources change sounds like a caching problem for which we have a very dirty hack in our repo (a plugin that deletes a directory under .pants.d.  our 'invalidate-fingerprint task)

yeah, I just added a dependency on joda-convert to my scala library and it was fine

interesting about the invalidate-fingerprint thing

<@U07QGT3V3>: yea... the stub warning just means that a class that it didn't actually need wasn't present

it would be good to be able to silence it

well I had one target that actually failed to compile without it

right... in that case you'll get an error

<@U07QGT3V3>: re the resource thing: yea, <@U053H6LQS> has such a case as well. now that scopes are implemented, one option would be to have `resource` targets use `scope=runtime` by default

and then allow for overriding to `scope=compile` to allow for invalidation.

is there anyway to deal with packaging apps that can't be used in an uberjar (I believe playframework is one of those) within pants?

I will have to define a jvm_app though, right?
