Patrick and I were talking about potential config file formats (we are feeling some pain from ini files). Our colleague jj found a python port of HOCON: <https://github.com/chimpler/pyhocon>

hello guys! My program doesn't log on running, I think it is due to the logback file not being on the class path

in the scala_library docs, i saw ```resources = ...,	An optional list of paths (DEPRECATED) or ``resources`` targets containing resources that belong on this library's classpath. (default: None)```

is there an alternative to this deprecated attribute, which has the same effect?

just the list of paths is deprecated i think

    name='utils',
    sources=rglobs('src/main/scala/*'),
    resources=['src/main/resources/logback.xml'],
    dependencies = ['3rdparty:slf4s',
       '3rdparty:logback',]
)```

so there should be a build file in src/main/resources, and the above file should reference that?

the “default target” thing confuses me so i always explicitly write it out in my files ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Have you guys ever seen cases where gevent apps work fine with virtual environments but when running the same app built by pants as a pex file it segfaults?

Trying my hand at gdb debugging and got this:
